So many different types. When I first met my husband, electric and vital. When I first held my boys in my arms, an overwhelming flood of defiant protection and magic.
Like when you get the giggles in a room full of people where you should be quiet.
Like waves of warm water rippling on to the shores of your heart.
A mix – safety to be yourself, acceptance, a feeling of peace and reliance, but also challenge, whether that’s intellectual or emotional.
When a relationship I’ve been invested in stops working. And yet, here I am, happy as you like.
Always flying: we’ve had flights where the engine’s been on fire; where we’ve nose-dived.
As the dark-haired bird from Bananarama.
Sleep apnoea and tinnitus.
Kind, funny, moany – I do love a moan.
Persevering with a career that was predicted to last six months and still being here four decades later.
