I don’t think I am either as ruthlessly selfish as I was then, but I think that unhappiness made me terribly terribly selfish.
I can’t deal with any level of stress.
Self-denigration, an old strategy for extorting praise from people. (“I am a terrible person.” “No, you’re a wonderful person and we all love you.”)
I overthink everything.
