“Until we are all free, we are none of us free.” —Emma Lazarus. Perfect happiness exists only in my imagination at the moment.
To relax without being bothered.
Seeing my family thrive and being underwater.
Being together with the ones I love on a Wednesday afternoon, washing the dishes, taking the garbage to the bin under a gray sky, hearing the distant sounds of children from upstairs, turning around and suddenly looking into the eyes of the one I love. It is the feeling of being alive I’m talking about. And of being in love.
I'm the kind of man who, even if the glass is only half full, doesn't lament but goes to fill up the rest.
And that’s what’s given us the ability to say no. It’s one of the most important things at the end of the day, being able to say no to an investment. Even if you’ve done a lot of work, work will never hurt you.
You have to make sacrifices on either side. You also to have an understanding family, to know that there are going to be some sacrifices.
There's still much to do, and I'm not slowing down.
But nothing lasts forever and that's not how you lay the bricks of a building with a strong foundation.
