Born in Barnet, Elaine Paige, 68, starred in the musical Evita at the age of 29. She went on to have record hits such as Memory from the musical Cats and I Know Him So Well from Chess. She has released 22 solo albums and, since 2004, presented a weekly BBC Radio 2 show. On 1 October, she begins her latest UK concert tour, Stripped Back. She lives in London.
