Not reading my bank statements thoroughly enough!
Worry that I am not going to work.
Just crippling existential dread.
The baby monitor. Followed by my own fake snores.
Nothing. I fell asleep while I was getting a shave. When I woke up, the barber said, “No one has ever fallen asleep with a razor at their throat.” And I was like, “Bro, I have three boys under five – I sleep when I can.”
A new song just finished.
This administration.
Anything from the concept of human mortality to a faux pas I made at a party in 2005.
Until I got curtains recently, it was the orange street light.
My children, because they come with me wherever I go.
If I think my family’s not safe. And if I have a good idea musically: sometimes I can’t sleep out of excitement.

Weirdly, sometimes exhaustion keeps me awake. If I am really tired, I won’t sleep well.
