A few ex-girlfriends in my teens. I didn’t know how to treat a lady.
I didn’t learn to be intimate with people until I was in my 20s, so I was a very bad friend in my teens. There was a girl I was best friends with at college; I always used to kiss the boys she liked. I’d like to apologise to her.
My late wife – she died of cancer. We tried everything we could do to save her. I wish that I could have done more and that I could have been with her at the moment she passed away. I couldn’t be in that room, because I knew it would be so devastating that I wouldn’t be able to take care of the kids after.
To strangers. Living in New York, I see individuals every day who are invisible to so many. I want to say sorry that so many of us think their pain and suffering is not our own.
The king – because he’s been through quite a bit and I think he’s come out the other side brilliantly.
Mucking out pigs on a farm when I was 15.
I cry all the time in front of the telly. I was doing Gogglebox with Julian Clary recently and I cried watching The Piano.
